Our Hiring & Training Practices

American Eagle Sentry’s training program starts with recruiting qualified candidates. Attracting quality people is the key to providing quality security services. Our comprehensive approach to screening and hiring helps us ensure we employ only the best qualified candidates. To support our recruiting efforts, American Eagle Sentry offers competitive wages and extensive benefits to attract and retain dedicated security professionals.

Pre-employment Screening

Candidates for employment must first complete an extensive application and then pass an in-person interview. During this interview candidates are given an opportunity to demonstrate their interpersonal and communication skills along with their personality. Only 1 in 12 applicants pass the in-person interview and are selected to continue to our next phase, which is background screening.

Before an applicant is hired by American Eagle Sentry to be a security officer, they must first undergo an extensive background check through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the FBI. The applicant’s fingerprints are compared to state and national databases.  Upon successfully passing these screenings, American Eagle Sentry conducts additional criminal record, driving history, sex offender, and drug offender database checks.

Post-employment Reviews

Periodic reviews of security officers are conducted to verify that nothing
in their background has changed after their initial employment.

Our security officers are also trained on the use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for emergency cardiac responses.  During this phase of training they are paired with a senior officer for on-site training at the client’s location.
